Easy Fall Kitchen Tray
I know I said today I would show you how our floors turned out after we replace some broken boards but the sun never came out and it was about impossible to take a decent photo, so I will hope to show you on Sunday instead. I hadn’t intended on doing any fall decorating in the kitchen but you know how one thing leads to another? Well that’s exactly how it went.
I decided to add a valance to the kitchen window and swap out the colors that I had going on to something fallish and it all snowballed from there. It led to finding a runner for the island, replacing the turquoise tray with something more rustic and of course I needed something on the tray.
I shopped the house for some faux sunflower (nothing in bloom here right now, we’ve had several hard frosts), the squash I had set aside for dinner and mini pumpkins that were on my deck. It all came together quickly and cost nothing. I just love it when that happens. Im also still loving the yellow bar stools, they seem to go with everything and I would never think of yellow as a neutral color but so far it’s working out that way. Have a great weekend everyone and stop back by on Sunday for a new floor post.
The tray is perfect with the brown stripes!
Diane I purchased the tray at the Hospice store for $1 and have used it in my decor many times. It was a great buy.
Brighten up your gloomy day, very Fallish:) Kathleen in Az
Kathleen it’s fun to have something new to look at. I tend to use my island as a dumping spot and it seems nice to have it all decorated.
Things always snowball!
I love the color of your chairs and the table runner.
Wow Dawn…$1.00 for that great tray!…and I really like those little pumpkins for Fall decorating!
Nancy I had no idea how I would use the tray when I picked it up but for the price I couldn’t pass up it up.
Lovely arrangement! Fall offers so many beautiful gourds but I never can figure out how to display them. Arranged around the vase and flowers is perfect. I’ll be working on one of these for my kitchen island this fall for sure.
