GINGHAM AND BUFFALO CHECK, A STYLE THAT SEEMS TO BE TIMELESS IN COUNTRY, FARMHOUSE, AND RUSTIC DECORATING AND EVEN IN CLOTHING!

How to Decorate Your Home or Self Using Gingham and Buffalo CheckToday I want to share with you my latest crush; black and white gingham Roxy slip on shoes. For those of you who don’t know me well I’m a shoe girl. I’ve never met a pair I didn’t love, they don’t judge when it comes to size (unlike jeans) and in my opinion you can never own to many.

I think I get intoxicated just walking in and admiring all the rows and rows of beautiful shoes. Recently I’ve been turned on to Roxy tennis shoes. Oh my if you’ve never owned a pair you need to. They are the most comfortable shoe in my wardrobe, along with flip flops. I love that there slip ons and the inner foot pad is made from memory foam.

I stand on my feet all day at work, and these shoes are heavenly. They look great with skirts, jeans, and capris too. Every time I wear a pair with a lace skirt and denim shirt the girls at work say I look like a farm girl.

Here’s my dirty secret: I’ve been addicted to shoes all my life. As a small child I tortured my brother with the game “Shoe Store”. I’d take all the shoes in our home, line them up and make my younger brother be the patron. I’d set him down, try a pair of his choice on him, and then make him do the model walk so I could see how they fit.

Most kids play house, doctor, or something similar but not me I made the poor kid play Shoe Store. I have an Aunt that said she used to get a chuckle out of how every time we went to town (which back in the day was on rare occasions. When you live in the country and grown your own food you don’t go to the city much.) going to the shoe store was high on my list of things to do.

Back in my day we actually went and got fitted for shoes, there wasn’t any super stores to buy off the wrack from. I have no idea how the shoe fetish started buy I’ve had it al my life. And now I’m passing my love of gingham on to you. Here’s a link to snatch up these darling country cuties.

PS: my ankle bracelets I buy at a local organic store, there handmade in Peru, and I added the little charm myself to give it a little bling.

OMG! We are so alike! I have a pair of navy and white gingham tennis shoes, a pink and white pair of slides, and also a black and white pair. On top of that, I have an aqua and white gingham pair of shorts that I have worn all summer! It’s a sickness, I tell ya!

Yes I love gingham!! My girlfriend (who is really a fashionista) poo-pooed me when I first started showing it to her. Then she said, you were right…it’s in style and it’s cute! 🙂 I love your shoes!
