3rd Most Visited Post in 2012 – DIY Solar Lamps

Solar Lamps!
What you will need
Small mouth mason jars
Solar garden lights
Hot glue gun

I only removed the stem of the light, but you can also remove the clear plastic base that the solar light attaches to.

Run a bead of hot glue around the rim of the jar
and…

place the light on top.
This is a much safer way to illuminate an outdoor area rather than candles.
They can easily be taken apart if you need the jars, or decide to put them back on the stem for another purpose.

    So cute!

The stems always break on those darn solar lights. Maybe its the heat around here or something. This would be a way to use the part that still works!

We have always steered clear of those darn solar lights because they fall over so easily — the stems don’t seem sturdy enough. This would be a great way to remedy the situation and have something much more attractive. Such a great idea!
