I’ve been at the sewing machine again getting a few things made for fall. I chose to make the Apple Picking Quilt Square from my Farm Girl Vintage book and turned it into a pillow for the side porch. I’m not sure how far I will go with fall decorating this year but I did manage to get some corn stalks, and a few mums.
It all seems terribly over priced this year so if I don’t find things from local farmers cheaper I will keep the decorating to a minimum. I knew I could use the Apple pillow anywhere in my home at anytime so I spent last Saturday evening cutting out the pieces (it’s dark so early now I had to do something or I would think it’s time for bed) and Sunday morning I put it all together. I like how fun it looks on the porch and if you come back on Friday you can see the entire porch decorated for fall.
If you’re looking for a winter project and like to quilt I recommend picking up The Farm Girl Vintage book. It’s so easy to follow even a beginner can make the squares. I better run I have some painting to do….see you on Friday for the porch reveal.
