It’s been beautiful fall weather here in the mitten state so its time for a little fall decorating inside and out. Today I’m sharing some of my favorite ways too decorate for the season along with the Cozy Living gals. Our host Jennifer is kind enough to put it all together for us. You can see the other idea by clicking the links below.
I always like to reused the things I have from year to year but try and do something different with them every time. You’ll probably notice some of the same pieces used around my home but in different ways.
I also like to keep it simple and inexpensive! Most of my fall decorating started with either apple that can be turned into recipes later, pumpkins that can be harvested for their seeds and meat, and mums that can go straight into the landscaping before the ground freezes.
And from there I add some softness with pillows, throws, candles, and cozy seating areas. Today I’ve gathered a collection of ideas I’ve used over the years to bring fall to the cabin.
I actually like decorating outside in fall better than I do inside. As the days grow darker and cooler the pop of color all the pumpkins and mums brings to a space; seems to bring new life to a slowing season.
If I’m lucky and my corn does well in the garden I can also harvest that to use. There’s nothing better than free decor from nature. I hope you see some ideas that will inspire you as you plan your fall decorating.
